The final phase of the workshop consisted of a series of focus groups facilitated through interactive posters, models and games. The purpose was to facilitate an informed debate, where the findings were properly enlightened and where there is a space for reflection to understand and analyze the options presented, and thus able to make collective decisions to respect the differences and priorities of residents and the various sectors.
The four scenarios discussed were: a) How do we co-habitate with the Mangrove, b) productive spaces, c) Risk Management, and d) Community Organization. Each focus group was conducted in different sectors, both as mixed groups and separated by gender. The different options for each scenario were illustrated through models, drawings and tables where residents could vote and choose their top choices. Each participant explained the reasons behind their preferences, so that it was possible to further define the priorities and the trade-offs between different collective and individual needs.
La fase final del taller estuvo compuesta por una serie de grupos de foco facilitados por medio de laminas interactivas, maquetas y juegos de discusión. El propósito fue facilitar un debate informado, donde los hallazgos fueran debidamente ilustrados y donde hubiera un espacio de reflexión para comprender y analizar las opciones presentadas, y así, poder realizar decisiones colectivas que respetaran las diferencias y prioridades de los residentes y los distintos sectores.
Los cuatro escenarios debatidos fueron: a) Como convivimos con el Manglar, b) Espacios productivos, c) Manejo de Riesgo, y d) Organización Comunitaria. Cada grupo de foco fue llevado a cabo en diferentes sectores, con grupos tanto mixtos y como separados por genero. Las diferentes opciones de cada escenario fueron ilustradas por medio de maquetas, dibujos y tablas, donde los residentes podían votar y elegir sus opciones de preferencia. Cada participante explicó las razones detrás de sus preferencias, de manera que fuera posible detallar mas a fondo las prioridades y el potencial para negociar entre diferentes necesidades colectivas e individuales.
